History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies
Hello and welcome to the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies!
This page is an entry point into the vast array of programs and opportunities housed within our community. Did you come to this page looking for more information about History classes, programs, and faculty? You are at the right place and can click on the link to begin your journey into the realm of historical analysis. Are you seeking to know more about Philosophy? The link to meet our Philosophy faculty and learn about the majors and minors offered in that program are to the left as well. Our department is also home to both the African and African American Studies and Asian Studies programs, which means the links on the left can also lead you to information about minors and certificates that will enhance both your education and your understanding of the world we live in.
We offer the following degree programs, minors, and certificates:
- Bachelor’s degrees in History, History Teaching, and Philosophy
- A Master’s Degree in History.
- Minors in History, Philosophy, Applied Ethics, and a minor or certificate in African and African American Studies and Asian Studies.
We also offer an array of courses in Religious Studies, including courses about the history of religion and courses on many different world religions.
This page and our department have so much to offer and I hope you will spend some time with us learning about the opportunities available to you. If you have any questions that are not answered on any of the pages you visit, please email me, Dr. John Bowes, at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 859-622-1288. Take care and be well.
